Elephants are majestic creature who are on the race of extinction. Their threats are poaching, people poach them for their tusks. There are two species of elephants the African elephants and the Asian elephants both beautiful creatures. Elephants consume several hundred pounds of vegetation a day. That includes grasses, small plants, fruit, twigs, tree bark, bushes and roots. Elephants have a trunk which acts like a straw they suck water up into their long trunk hold it to their mouthes and pour it in. The elephant's trunk contains 40,000 muscles so they can fight with them, feed themselves and collect food it's like a huge arm. The elephant is a very intelligent creature. The African elephant lives in the grass land of Africa. The Asian elephant lives in in the rainforests of Asia.
